Chicago 360 Tours was started after my wife and I were frustrated with what some websites called a "Virtual Tour" while looking at homes to purchase. We searched over 500 homes online and would become irritated anytime a listing toted itself to have a Virtual Tour. The tour would be nothing more than a slideshow set to music. This, in our opinion, was worse than a photo gallery of the space. When we would finally find an appealing property and go to a showing or open house, we felt that many of the photos were misleading because of the wide-angle lens used. Items towards the edge of a photo would seem much wider than in reality. Despite the great pictures and photoshop filters, we would show up at a property and quickly realize how cramped a space really was. In real estate, as with all things, we expect a home to put its best foot forward. With the Matterport option, users have the option to turn, look up and down, and really get a chance to ascertain the kind of space they are potentially buying.
We feel there is a little fibbing going on in real estate marketing with some of the pictures. Sure, the images may look great, but photoshop filters don't exist in real life. With a 3d model we get serious. Brass tacks is our second language. A property can truly be represented accurately through a virtual tour. Let's get started today!
